My firm is dedicated to advising and representing students in disputes with public, private and charter schools, and post-secondary schools (colleges, technical schools). We represent special needs students and their families to obtain the education and related services to which they are entitled, providing guidance and assistance with IEPs, Due Process proceedings, mediations, disability determinations, disciplinary hearings for suspensions and expulsions, bullying, harassment and retaliation at school, restraint and seclusion issues. I was a special education teacher and school administrator for 18 years in New York City and my partner Lori Kirsch-Goodwin is the parent of a teenager with special needs, which provides us with first-hand experience on the issues and procedures unique to this area of the law.

My partner and I are experienced litigation and trial attorneys. We both are admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of New York, New Jersey and Arizona, and represent clients throughout the state of Arizona. We are both AV-rated and our firm is certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. We have lectured to parent and professional groups both locally and nationally in the area of special education law.
