Gary Smith decided to create a bar association to provide for members who live on the north end of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Together with his business partner, D. Jeffrey Craven, he co-founded the North Phoenix Bar Association, and served as its President from 2010-2012.

Mr. Smith practices in the areas of Construction litigation, including lien and bond claims. He is particularly adept at defending and prosecuting complaints against contractors before the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, having been involved in over 100 different cases. In addition to construction litigation, Mr. Smith actively practices in various forms of consumer litigation, and particularly enjoys representing plaintiffs in fraud litigation.

Over the last several years, Mr. Smith has also developed a practice around, and actively seeks to represent, parties engaged in civil appeals, whether from an administrative agency to the lower court of appeals or direct appeal to the Arizona Court of Appeals or the Arizona Supreme Court.

He also has helped numerous clients over the years with trade mark and trade name registration (both Federal and State) and with protecting copyrights.
